We hired Grats to renovate 2 bathrooms and a bedroom and ended up adding a kitchen too. I’m glad Grats was able to take on the kitchen because it’s been my favorite thing about my house. We had some unexpected issues come up that extended our timeline a bit. Gene explained our options each time so we could make comfortable decisions and keep moving forward.

I just finished a project with Gene of Grats Decor on my 2-unit Edwardian building in the Inner Richmond. All I can say is WOW! We had a short window to complete a number of projects and they came through on all fronts. They finished on time, the cost was reasonable and everything came out looking beautiful. Here is what they did: 1) Completely replaced all HVAC ducting in the garage 2) Installed Nest Thermostats in both units 3) Repaired the heating unit and increased the heat output (very nice) 4) Remodeled from studs the upstairs bathroom - Gene came up with a great idea to increase the size of the bathroom by taking a little space from the master closet and creating a private toilet room. The tenants love it! 5) We created a custom shower with tile from floor to ceiling, added an extra fan for the toilet room, re-sized and installed a new window, moved the bathroom fan to over the shower, new lights, glass shower door, tile on custom shower pan and all finishes installed. 6) In the downstairs unit, they added washer/dryer hook-ups - this involved bringing water, gas and power to the laundry room. Not an easy feat and they did it quickly and without bothering us much. 7) Replaced all finishes and vanities in the downstairs unit (vanities, cabinets, mirrors, shower rod, towel hooks, etc.) I can't recommend Gene and his team enough! Not only do they do quality work, it was very easy to work with them. Lots of communication throughout the process and pleasant team to have in your house (very clean and respectful). Whether you're looking to do some small fixes around your house or looking to do a full remodel, run, don't walk, to call Gene!

Just thought I would share my positive experience with Grats Decor, a general contractor we found on NextDoor. Yuriy came out and gave us a quote, which was a very fair price. Arthur and Bertin, along with their electrician did a wonderful job reconstructing my fireplace wall and paid close attention to small details, ensuring it was to my satisfaction. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out, and would welcome them back into my home for future projects. Please give Yuriy and Gene a call next time you need a home improvement project done! 👷🏻‍♂️🔨 Scope of work: tear down old plaster mantel, frame and tile new wall, install electric fireplace, hang floating mantel, install 2 LED eyeball lights over the shelves, hang floating shelves

We hired Grats Decor to transform our 1950's pink bathroom and bring it into this century. They did that and more! I am SO beyond ecstatic with the outcome. It feels like I am walking into a picture perfect pinterest dream bathroom. Remodeling can be a really stressful and invasive process, but they made it so simple and streamlined. I expected it would take forever to get it all done, but they completed everything in record time. I luckily came across this place by accident. My boyfriend & i could not decide on a sofa we both liked and for weeks searched. With Grats decor it was very simple chose a style, pick out a fabric (which they have a lot) decide slipcover or upholstered and your done. They even let us check out fabrics and were very patient. Not once were they pushy even though it took us a week to decide on all the options. I would definitely shop here again and when we buy a house would use them for interior design.
